ABOUT THE CHEF

Vik started her professional Culinary Apprenticeship at the age of 18. Working in 4 Star Hotels and Restaurant kitchens across Canada helped her achieve Red Seal Status at a very young age and move on to compete and receive several Awards and Gold Medals in Salon Cuisine Competitions. Working in all areas of the professional kitchen, she gained experience as Sous Chef , Restaurant Chef, and received training in Food Handling and Sanitation.

Pastry and Baking Arts were the next skills acquired, followed by European style Fondant techniques, Pure Chocolate Skills and delicate handmade Sugar Flowers. To improve her techniques in Sugar craft, Vik has travelled to take classes from other top Sugar Artists such as : Ron Ben Israel,  Kathy Scott, Toba Garrett, Diane Gruenberg, Norman Davis and Debbie Brown.

By accepting only a limited number of commissions, each cake is given her 100 % focus; whether it's the elaborate wedding cake you've dreamed of since childhood, a very special first birthday cake, or any other celebration event. Utilizing her 20 years of professional industry experience, Vik's strength is custom designing and executing unique and delicious cake showpieces for your event.
